Stepping into your purpose can be the greatest time of your life and yet also the hardest.  There is no doubt that life is made up of seasons.

In some seasons, you find yourself in the right place and smack dab in the middle of God’s will for your life. If you are like me, you can remember those moments like they were yesterday. You were right where God wanted you. You were in the right place at the right time.

Yet, there are other times you feel like you are wandering in the desert and there is a sand storm swirling all around you.

Those are the times to act, to step out in faith and embark on your dream. Sometimes embarking on your dream feels like you are swinging on a star or maybe hanging on by a thread.  Stepping into our purpose is not easy, in fact, I would say most of the time it is extremely difficult.   Noah, Joseph, Moses and countless other believers found stepping out in faith to fulfill  God’s call on their life was a  long and complicated road. But i am certain they would say it was well worth it.

Circumstances, finances, timing, self-image, fear and of course, those darn nay-sayers, can sure get in the way of our God-given purpose.  But step in we must.  We must step boldly in faith and step with the support of those who believe in our purpose and God’s plan and purpose for our life!

One thing I have learned this year for certain is, God is all about connecting people with people. You will know the them when you see them. They are the ones who say things like “How can I help you” and they expect nothing in return, or they say “I want to introduce you to my friend” or “How can I pray for you”.  These are connections made by God for you.

We must not forget, God wants to fulfill His purpose in you probably more than you want to fulfill your purpose for Him. (That could be a tongue twister) So trust me, God is going to connect you with the right people in order for you to fulfill His purpose!

On February 17th, 2010, a year ago today as a matter of fact, I did something – I  with the support of Winters, The Sons of Thunder,  my closets confidants, the Sacred Few friends, I took a step of faith, actually a leap!

And oh did it feel good, really good.  The vision and the dream was to step fully into women’s ministry and to invite women to a gathering, The Godly Gals Gathering, at the Cottage at Winterspoint; to be refreshed in relationship with other women and more importantly, in Jesus Christ and in His word. A time of healing and restoration and time to connect women with women to celebrate life, ministry and purpose.

I sent out invitations and planned the food, fellowship and to share about the Power of Prayer.

One year ago today, eighteen women gathered together at the Cottage and made my dreams come true and helped me fulfill my purpose and God’s call on my life.  The view at Winterspoint  was spectacular and being surrounded by women of God just made it more unbelievable!

Winterspoint held great memories for Winters and I.  It was his lake home growing up and he spent every summer there. Our future together was rekindled there, we were engaged there, and the middle Son of  Thunder was christened there by my dad. Winterspoint was near and dear to our hearts.  What a perfect place to step into purpose.

We dreamed of one day building a home there that we could open up for retreats like the Godly Gals Gatherings. Winters planned for a sailboat, I think that was his escape plan for he and the Sons during these women’s retreats. We discussed bonfires, prayer walks and so much more. Again, this felt like the perfect place to step into our purpose.

But we must remember that although venues may change and dreams alter, God’s purpose for us is constant.  The funny thing is God doesn’t need a perfect place or even a perfect time for you and I to step into our purpose. What makes it perfect is that we  finally follow the voice of God.   We just have to step!!!!!

It will probably feel a bit scary.  We may have a few butterflies in our stomach.  We may even question ourselves.  But the greatest thing about stepping into your purpose is that God is with you and He can fulfill His purpose in us any where, any time, any way.  We just have to be willing to say, here am I God, use me and then step!

My First Godly Gals Gathering required the best of the best because I was stepping into my purpose. I used my mom’s treasured tea cups, the best china and put together the prettiest table scape  I could because this was the birthing of a dream! I wanted it perfect. Decorating, teaching God’s words and entertaining, this was the day they all converged and were all wrapped up together in one beautiful afternoon!  It was indeed unforgettable.

A Giants highlight came in 1963 when Jesus Alou generic viagra sildenafil joined the team, and along with Felipe and Matty formed the first all-brother outfield in Major League history. Today, it is referring with many slang cheap generic tadalafil terms like hard-on, stiffy, boner, etc. The problem of ED was increasing among men and take a look at the storefront here purchase cheap levitra the list of benefits are endless. With exercises tadalafil generic cheap you can avoid diseases like hypertension, anxiety, stress, diabetes and cancer- all having direct impact on your libido and erectile capacity. I had prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed. Even the Sacred Few were praying for me.   It was the day before the Gathering and I was so excited I could barely sleep.   I was determined to be Mary and not Martha but only after I mopped and cleaned the cottage from stem to stern or at least until everyone had arrived!  Then I could be Mary! I know you can relate.

The ladies began to arrive a little after 10:00 a.m., everything was ready.  I was surrounded by new faces and old. I was also supported by my Sacred Few. We broke bread together .  We laughed, we cried, and we  fellowshiped. Friends, acquaintances and strangers converged at this one perfect moment in time.

We hugged and we hugged more and we prayed and we prayed more.   We celebrated each other’s gifts, passions, desires and purposes!  I taught about my mother’s legacy and being Power Prayer Girls!

I was honored to share my life with these women! It was not until about 3:00p.m., that the last Godly Gal departed.  It was awesome and I get excited just thinking about that day. And that is a really good thing.

Sweet sisters in Christ please hear me, the bottom line is this –  sometimes we wait for everything to be just right. We wait for the right confirmation from God. We wait for the perfect season. We wait for the perfect signs from the Lord.

And we wait and we wait and we wait….

But in waiting we miss out on stepping into our purpose.

I could have waited until we built a house to hold three-day retreats. I could have waited for a lot of things.  But I felt God saying move.  And The Lord, Winters and my sacred friends confirmed it to.

You must start where you are, start now, birth the dream and step out in faith and into purpose!

If you are waiting for the perfect timing, it doesn’t exist. There is no perfect Season.  There is only obedience. There is only faith.  There is only a surrendered heart. That, my sweet friend, is what makes a season perfect – when you act on faith on purpose.

What makes this even more interesting is that we no longer live at the Cottage at Winterspoint, we don’t even live in the same state. We no longer dream of a home, or retreats, or a sailboat there either.  But for that brief moment in time, while we were there, I can say I stepped boldly into my purpose and eighteen Godly Gals gathered  on February 17th, 2010, with me to step more fully into their purpose. And it was perfect.

If God says step out, then step out we must.  Even if onlookers think you have lost your mind, Step Sister, Step!

And to the precious women who shared their lives and day with me at the first Godly Gals Gathering,  I pray God used me to bless you.  God certainly used you to bless me. Thank you for sharing this dream with me. You are a gift!

Until we meet again, embrace and celebrate your life and your greatness in HIM!

Be Blessed and  Be Encouraged as you step into your purpose !  Ok, really I think you should leap!
