The Anger in our city, our country and our world grieves me.

How we handle anger is out of control.

This past week in Newnan, Georgia,  five young men were shot to death like a ducks in hunting season as the youngest SON described it.    But they weren’t ducks… No, They were human beings, they were Sons, children and maybe even fathers, I do not know… They had souls, heart and families I know that for certain …

I am heartbroken…

But I am not nearly as heartbroken as much as their sweet mammas.

Yes, I am a white woman and many who lost their sons in Newnan their mothers are not.  But their pain and heartache is no not defined by color.  Grief is  grief and loss is still loss.  It is still hurt and most of all it is heartache that will last a life time … Women and Mothers are united!  We stand together in pain, grief and joy…

But People shooting and killing loved ones and strangers over a silly disagreement, a lawn mower,  losing a game, or a parent taking their phone away.  To be killed for any of these acts is tragic.

My heart is broken and so heavy.

We have to help our nation heal and people deal with their feelings.   Deal with anger and deal with pain.

What do we do with hurt, pain and disappoint?

Yes, I have had fun re-decorating my fireplace the last couple of days but in the midst of it all my heart is sad and broken for a country that is out of control with managing anger.

Nothing changes …  if nothing changes …

We have to teach children and yes, even adults how to deal with their feeling in a healthy way.

Normal feelings like ~ Happiness, anger, hurt, pain, grief, hate, sadness, joy, and love…

Life short.

But  it is never too short for God to restore our souls and learn healthy ways to manage our anger.
