On this Thankful Thursday I know many friends who are walking through troubled times.  I was thinking today of how we watched the highly anticipated Bible mini series on the History Channel and how much I loved it.

I was almost moved to tears as Moses approaches the Red Sea. Tired and worn out and probably grieved that Pharaoh did not give in sooner, but his pride would not let him and so he suffered through 10 plagues. The last, the loss of every firstborn including his which finally convinced Pharaoh to let the Israelites go.

Moses had to be worn out and overwhelmed as he faced the giant sea in front of him.

He held his staff then thrust it into the ground and God performed a mighty miracle right before everyone’s eyes.  God parted the Red Sea for His people.

Amazing and admonishing to say the least.  The SONs asked if I was going to cry.  I simply said “This is amazing SONs with a tears in my eyes.  This is the power of our mighty God.”  If God has ever shown up and parted the Red Sea in your life remembering that moment will make you cry too.  God has parted many Red Seas in my parents lives and in Winters and mine as well.

God is a God of miracles. He can part your Red Sea too!

He can give us hope when all hope is lost and when a vast sea stand between you and your promised land.  He can show up and perform a miracle in your life.  I know many of you are walking through difficult times but remember God is a God of miracles.
