God has a free gift for you today!

I hope that one day I will have an opportunity to speak to you in person, but until that time, I want to invite you to begin living the Extraordinary Life that God has for YOU!  This journey of squeezing the very most out of our life is not always easy.  For most of us we feel like the life is being squeezed out of us, instead.  To embrace life, we must experience the free gift that only Christ can offer.  Words cannot describe how truly awesome the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ is.  If you have never experienced this first hand, I want to invite you to today.

The Gift

The Gift

In the Bible, John 3:16, says “That God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Roman 10:9-10 says “That  if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

If you cannot remember a time that you surrendered your life to Christ, I want to invite you right now to give your life to Christ and receive this free gift.  Now, you can truly begin living the Extraordinary Life Christ has for you.  Don’t wait one more moment.  Ask Him to come into your heart and ask him to forgive you of your sins and be the Lord of your life.  It is never to late to start again.  I can promise you that God loves you.  He wants to set you free and help you face tomorrow.

If you have already received this free gift of salvation but just need to rededicate your life to Him, this would be perfect time to do it!  Right about now you might be asking yourself,  so where do I go from here and how do we obtain this Extraordinary Life?  To live the Extraordinary Life, we must live intentionally, with determination and of unwavering faith.  We must declare,” I want more, more, more.”

We must be willing to be learners and students of life and God’s word.  We must have teachable spirits.  We must be willing to learn from others and accept instruction.  We must have faith and courage because the Christian journey is not necessarily an easy one.  God says that all we need is the faith the size of a mustard seed and he can do signs and wonders.   Once we are brave enough to take the first step out in faith, then we can begin to embrace our life and God can free our spirits to soar!

Are you stuck in a boat?

We must ask ourselves, “Am I willing to step out of the boat?”   The boat of comfort, safety, complacency, mediocrity, insecurity, and/or whatever is keeping you tethered to a life, you must be ready to leave behind.  For many, it is the boat that really the represents bondage.  Also the fear of the unknown keeps us thinking we prefer the safety of the boat.  We are afraid to leave the boat but it really isn’t that comfortable at all is it?

My friend, there is no safety net, no fallback plan.  Jesus is the only safety net we have at all.  Not money, not friends,  not parents, not even your spouse.  Only Jesus can we count on no matter what.  He said he will never leave us or forsake us.   Jesus is concerned about every detail of your life.  When no one else seems to care,  no one else will listen, no one else can help  Jesus is there for you.  He is never weary of your story or of your need.  You are His precious creation and He loves you.  Forever and for always.  Now, that is Good News to celebrate!

I end with this.  Are you willing to step out of the boat just like Peter in Matthew 14:29?Are you ready to take the first step on the water and then another and another?   It may not be easy.  Frankly it may be terrifying, but I promise you it will be unforgettable.   Although Peter began sinking, he experienced an extraordinary moment that lead to many more extraordinary moments!  Let’s step out in faith and agree together and ask God to help you and me experience the best of what He has to offer our mind, body and spirits.

Psalm 46:1-5  “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of  the sea; though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging, there is a river whose streams make glad the city of our God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.  God is within her, She will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
