On this Thankful Thursday, I can’t help but think about a post I wrote the other on Facebook and thought it would make a perfect Thankful Thursday.

Sometimes we look at others’ lives and think they look so much different than ours. They seem so perfect.

In reality, however, they are much the same as ours. Their life is full of love, sadness, stress, joy and happiness, debt, grief, friendship and so much more.

To Winters and other friends I am “The Little Black Dress,” but I am also a mom to the SONs of Thunder, a friend, a teacher, a speaker, a life coach, a nurse, a wife, a taxi driver, lover of fashion, a child and woman of God.

And tonight I was even able to help out Mrs. Claus, it is a bit of a secret I have kept for a while now but she and I go way back. We got to read to the kids at Youngest SON of Thunder’s school tonight. I think Winters even posted a photo somewhere. Or here.

Helping Mrs. Clause

The reality is my friends that our lives are much the same. That is why I write, speak and coach – to empower, equip and encourage women of God of all ages to fulfill their dreams, their passion and their purpose and to never give up on the call God has on your life! Even when the odds seem stacked against you, remember, You are a gift!

Let me be honest, my life is wacky and on some days it appears to be in shambles. I know that and I do not claim it to be any different then it is. There are certainly perfect moments but our lives are anything than perfect.  This weekend Winters decided to empty a shed full of memories and stuff. It had to be done. I was in the merriest of moods bringing out Christmas for the holidays, the eldest SON had oral surgery and we have a strings concert, the bench mark testing, holiday spectacular, band concert and the Christmas parade.  And needless to say, the house looks like World War 3!

We have Karate,  I have a massive headache, (no joke), business meetings, Winters has work, he also is a great chef for our family, thank God. I am coaching and caring for children and supporting my dearest friends as they support me.

Today the washing machine died, we put thousands into the old Suburban and we have bills and responsibilities just like you.

We have a God that says “He supplies all our needs and we have friends that love us.  Life is good …

Doesn’t my life look very similar to yours?

Be blessed and encouraged abundantly today on this Thankful Thursday as we remember that God uses all of our stories, the good, the bad and yes, even the wacky.
