On this Thankful Thursday, I can’t help but think about a post I wrote awhile back and how much it touched me.  Here are just some of the highlights from it and I hope it speaks to you as much as it did to me.

We all know, that sometimes we look at others’ lives and think they look so much different from our own.  They seem so perfect and to have it all together.

In reality, however, they are much the same as ours. Their life is full of love, sadness, stress, joy and happiness, debt, grief, friendship, pain, fear and so much more.

To Winters and other friends I am “The Little Black Dress,” but I am also a mom to the SONs of Thunder, a friend, a teacher, a speaker, a life coach, a power prayer girl, a nurse, a wife, a taxi driver, lover of fashion, a child and woman of God.

The reality is my friends that our lives are much the same. That is why I write, speak and coach – to empower, equip and encourage women of God of all ages and teens to fulfill their dreams, their passion and their purpose and to never give up on the call God has on your life!

Even when the odds may seem stacked against you, remember, You are a gift!

Let me be honest, my life is wacky and on some days it appears to be in shambles. I know that and I do not claim it to be any different then it is. I have my own thorns in the flesh that I struggle with and that I pray I will one day overcome.   There are certainly perfect moments too but our lives are anything than perfect.

Months back Winters decided to empty a shed full of memories and stuff, another remnant from our past. It had to be done. But I was in the throes of merriment bringing out our Christmas for the holidays, the eldest SON had oral surgery and we have a strings concert, the bench mark testing, holiday spectacular, band concert and the Christmas parade.  And needless to say, the house looked like World War 3!

Now it is six months later and our life still looks pretty crazy …  We have Karate,  I have a massive headache and another bug on top of that  (no joke) and was to speak at a  business meetings.  We have responsibilities and an uncertain future just like many of you. Winters had a small fender bender and total the old BMW, I cherished it.  The jets in my tub are broken, SONs need new summer clothes and I need hot water on my side of the sink. Oh!  And did I mention the CRCT are next week and the SONs are stressing out big time.

But here is the great news.  I do have joy in my heart, hope for our future, friends who love us.  I have ample love for Winters and the SONs, and yes, I know the Sun will rise tomorrow.

We have a God who  says “He supplies all our needs and my hope and trust is in Him.

So life is good …

Doesn’t my life look very similar to yours?

Be blessed and encouraged abundantly today on this Thankful Thursday as we remember that God uses all of our stories, the good, the bad and yes, even the wacky.
