Wow! It’s Thankful Thursday again.  I can hardly believe how fast a week goes by.

One of my good friends reminded me that Thankful Thursdays sounded like it was straight off Sesame Street. Yes, it does doesn’t it. She’s right but sometimes we have to be like little children and have a faith that is simply childlike. Children often see the good in everything.  That is a gift.

Focusing our attention to that which is good, is good!

Praise God School is starting and our routine will be in full swing next week!  You will hear the Hallelujah Chorus all over Coweta County next week I am sure.  Well, I promise you will hear it from my car as I drive the precious SONs of Thunder to School.

Summer is a precious time but so is school and leaning.

On this Thankful Thursday let’s not talk about all the rain in July.

Today I was reminded of a scripture that I think is always  perfect.  I love it because it is a great reminder to us where to keep our focus and our attention.

Something I am always telling the SONs to do … Focus! Focus! Focus!

And sometimes that is just what we need to do as Paul said in Philippians 4:8 Focus our attention this way, Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is nobel, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things!

Wow! Yes,dear friends,  focus on God and what ever is Praiseworthy!!!

Let’s not focus on all that is wacky in our lives but all that is good, positive and a blessing.  Oh, and yes that the children will be reunited with all their friends and precious teachers! Woo Hoo!  Do I sound to excited.  I adore the SONs but too much free time is not healthy for anyone.

So be blessed and encouraged abundantly on this Thankful Thursday as we focus, focus, focus on that which is good!   Let’s also celebrate that next week we will be back into a good old routine.
