I feel pretty certain that on this Thankful  Thursday there may be someone reading this that feels they, or someone they know, may have lost their way.

It is really quite easy sometimes to feel you have lost your way.  We come to a place in our lives, where, well, it just gets plain hard.  Where you find yourself lost or you’re in the waiting place.  You may have stood where the streets are not marked and you are not sure if you go to the left or right, or right and three-quarters as Dr. Seuss says.

I know that feeling all too well.  But rest assured, I am still here and so are you. Yes, life will be hard – that is a fact. I asked a friend how she was doing awhile back she simply said “I am just putting one foot in front of the other these days.”  Sometimes that is just what we have to do.  Stay with it my friend, be faithful, press in and God will take care of the rest!

Most everyone I know has at one time or another encountered their own share of difficult times: money, divorce, addiction, death, rejection and the list goes on and on. Those things all lead to shattered dreams.  But to get through that rough spot that you may find yourself in, you must “Be Prepared.” A prefect phrase from the Boy Scouts of America!

Be prepared because stepping into your purpose and fulfilling God’s call on your life is not always easy. Changing the world is not easy either.  There will be many road blocks and detours along the way.  There will be pot holes and indeed streets that are not marked.  But God is the greatest Guide of all.  God did not call us to an easy life, He called us to greatness!  But greatness in the world’s eyes is different from God’s.  God looks at the heart, remember.  God sees our potential.  God looks at our fruit and actions.  Someone said the other day that it is more about how we behave than what we believe.  Wow! love that.

We must focus on the big picture, which we usually can’t see but God does. I talked a lot about this in my post, “An Angel of God Calls Out Re-calculating.” Similarly, just like on Map Quest when you can hone in on one little tiny spot you are trying to get to, then you pull back and see the entire area you are trying to get to. Well, then you see all the roads that lead to that one tiny spot. We must remember that we are apart of the bigger picture and no doubt a bigger purpose than we will ever comprehend.

We are here on this earth but a moment. On this Thankful Thursday what are you doing with your moment?

You  and I may never famous.  We may never be on TV.  We may never write a book.  We may never eat dinner with powerful influential people.  There are many things we may never do, but whatever God has called you to do, do it and do it well! Do it with confidence, passion and determination.

Trust God that He can fulfill His purpose in you!  Don’t give up on your dream, I promise you God certainly hasn’t.  He believes in you when no one else will.  And if on this Thankful Thursday you are concerned you have lost your way, I know it is never to late to find it.
